Our Story

From a roadside tapri to your neighborhood

Chai & Bites started with a simple craving — the kind of chai you get at a Mumbai street stall, and the hot, crispy snacks that go with it. The stuff you actually miss.

So we built a truck around it. Every chai is brewed to order, every samosa fried fresh, and every recipe comes straight from family kitchens. All our meat is 100% halal, no exceptions.

Now we're bringing that corner-stall energy to Charlotte — one cutting chai at a time.

Yes — every meat item we serve is 100% halal, no exceptions. Our many vegetarian snacks are made fresh on the same line.

Do you cater events?

Absolutely. Weddings, corporate lunches, festivals, cricket days, birthdays — we love a crowd. Use the booking form below and we'll send a quote.

Where is the truck today?

We post our live location daily on Instagram. The 'Find Us' section above lists our usual weekly spots around the Charlotte metro.

Do you take cards?

Yep — cards, tap-to-pay, and cash are all welcome at the window.

Can you handle dietary needs?

Lots of our menu is vegetarian and we can flag spice levels. Ask at the window or note it in your catering request and we'll do our best.

How far do you travel?

We roam the greater Charlotte area — Uptown, South End, NoDa, University City, Ballantyne, Matthews, Concord and beyond. Farther for catering; just ask.
